Are you interested in sponsoring a Flat Classroom Workshop or Flat Classroom Conference? A range of sponsorship opportunities are available to ICT and education vendors as well as other companies and individuals interested in supporting the event. Flat Classroom Conference 2011: Leadership Workshop and Student Summit
We require sponsorship to sustain quality of event, to promote best practice use of hardware and software and to be globally inclusive of all schools and areas. For the Student Summit, students currently have to raise airfare and conference fees and to ensure the cultural diversity of the event, we are seeking sponsors to assist with student participation in this event that will represent a cultural, economic, geographic, and ethnic diversity.
We also use laptops and other technologies at the conferences and welcome those who would like to interactively participate in this way. One special feature of our live events is the inclusion of a virtual audience as fully participating team members, advisers and judges. This is supported by the use of online tools, including Web 2.0.
Who is the Flat Classroom Conference 2011 for?
This conference is for K-12 and tertiary educators, education leaders, pre-service teachers and those interested in flattening the learning environment to include mobile technology, online learning, global collaboration as a pedagogy and cultural interaction. It is also for students to come, along with their teachers, to learn more about developing leadership skills, and 21st Century approaches to connecting, collaborating and creating.

- Bring together culturally and economically diverse participants in order to celebrate what it means to teach and learn in a flat world
- Include a Student Summit where teams of students from around the world will work through a challenge based project, address global problems, pitch ideas and create solutions that could be implemented back in their own schools and countries
- Include a Leadership Workshop where educators discuss and model flattened pedagogy using emerging technologies
- Bring together face-to-face as well as virtual participants further extending the depth and breadth of the event
- Provide a platform for regional and national associations to gather
- Encourage international sharing of ideas and innovation in education and learning through technology
