Registration / Application Information 

Registration for the Flat Classroom® Conference in Yokohama, Japan March 8-10, 2013 is NOW OPEN on this website.   Places are limited for this event in both the Student Summit and the Leadership Workshop and we encourage you to register early! Before you register please read the information on this website and explore the resources and multimedia from past live events.

conference schedule.
We invite registration NOW from interested educators, administrators and education leaders in K-12 and tertiary institutions wanting to attend the Flat Classroom® Conference Leadership Workshop.

In addition, TEACHERS WISHING TO APPLY to bring secondary students to the Student Summit must also complete the Flat Classroom Conference Registration online form.  (Note: Acceptance is NOT automatic for this strand due to the limited places)

Successful applicants will be notified as soon as possible and on a 'first come, first serve' basis. We encourage schools / teachers interested in the Student Summit to apply and contact us as early as possible.

Registration for this event is available via the online form. It is preferred that payments be made electronically and rates are quoted in US dollars.

Registration Process and Cost

Flat Classroom® Conference 2013 Registration Includes:
  • International facilitators - globally minded and recognized presenters and facilitators
  • a Student Summit and Workshop for secondary students
  • a Leadership seminar for educators and administrators
  • free on-site wireless network with technical support
  • lunches, morning and afternoon refreshments for 3 days
  • Yamanote Railway Line Scavenger Hunt
  • the use of portable devices while at the conference (if required)
Registration does NOT include accommodation.
Student registration is for Secondary level students (Gr 8-12, or younger with prior notice) accompanied by a teacher from their school.

Cancellation / Refund Policy

Registrant requests for refund of registration fee will be considered if a written request is sent postmarked by the 7th of February 2013.  No refunds can be issued for requests postmarked after this date.  Refunds are subject to a US$45.00 cancellation fee; there are no refunds for non-attendance but registrant's name can be changed until February 15, 2013 for the Japan conference.
